Past

An average young girl from an average family. Kit was the middle sibling of 5 to an adventurer mother and culinarian father, not a small family by any means, but they rarely wanted for anything, grew up happy, healthy, normal.Kit was 15 years old when she came home from errands to find her mother had slaughtered every member of their family. Save for Kit. Who'd denied her siblings request to go along with her for these errands. She watched in silent terror as her mother delivered a killing blow to her father, and confronted her daughter who'd just arrived home. Kit could hardly register what her mother was telling her. She told her it was a show of loyalty. To who? Kit doesn't know. Why? To prove that she could do it. 20 years of raising a beautiful family thrown away for someone or something Kit had no knowledge of. She almost thinks it's some sort of psychotic break. Her mother leaves the silver daggers Kit had spent her childhood admiring on the ground, bloodied bodies filling the room around them, and leaves."You will follow in my footsteps." These are the last words Kit ever hears her mother speak, before she seemingly disappears off the face of the star. After hours of wailing in torturous pain with her dead father and siblings, she leaves her home, an isolated place, a family home her mother had insisted they live in. Her life was over, everything was changed. She made her way to Gridania, gathered aid, and had her family buried right by that house. It was time to start her new life.

Present

Kit works as a hitwoman for hire while telling people she is a clothing model. She isn't, her gil is earned through killing on commission. As well as side jobs here and there if she feels like it. It's much less of a secret that she's taken to selling her body when she feels like it, but it isn't nearly as common as some seem to think. She ultimately does as she pleases.She lives in fear of becoming exactly what her mother was assured she would be. She was already so much like her. She took up becoming a dual-dagger user like her mother. She is materialistic and loves the extravagant just like her. But she is firm in that she hates anything silver. Gold jewelry only. Those silver knives haunt her to this day. Kit will sometimes seek hints as to what the cause of her mother's familicide, or even the whereabouts of her mother at all. As of now, she lives her life as normally as she can, just like any other resident of Eorzea.
